Obituary of Nicol A. Vroman

Nicol A. Vroman (Deats) Nicol "Nicki" Vroman (Deats), age 63 passed away peacefully on February 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Nicol was born on August 15, 1956 in Elmira to the late James J. and Mary H. Deats. Nicol dedicated her life to being a stay at home mother while working various odd jobs until finding her true calling caring for the elderly, disabled and terminally ill for over 25 years until her retirement. Nicol was an avid reader and enjoyed many hobbies including being on both bowling and baseball leagues in her younger years however her most beloved pastime was spending time with her family. Along with her parents Nicol was predeceased by her grandparents Clarence B and Dorothy H Whipple as well as her sisters Holly Deats and Terry Mattison. Nicol is survived by her love Paul Nardi Sr.; her children Amber (Timothy) Donnell of Catlin, Selina (Nathan Cornish) Nardi of Pine City, Gina (Rick Cool) Nardi of Emporium, John Nardi of Elimra, and Paul Nardi Jr. of Elmira; grandchildren Jayden Cornish, Emily Donnell and Erin Donnell; sister Sherri Mattison as well as many beloved Aunts, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Nicol's family will announce a celebration of life at a later date.
