Obituary of Charles Johnson

JOHNSON, Charles E., Jr. Age 75 of Horseheads, NY. He was born February 4, 1938 in Greensboro, NC, son of the late Pervis and Vergie (Bryant) Johnson and passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was predeceased by his son David J. Johnson in 1995 and is survived by his wife Gloria; brother Tyrone A. Johnson; sister Mazelle Moore, both of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law Memory Briggs of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law David E. Briggs of Philadelphia, PA and Kenneth Briggs of Charlotte, NC; goddaughter Cherron Rawlings; special cousin Varneze Coleman, both of Elmira along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends including special friends Cara and Mark Bohart of Breesport. Charles retired from A & P Foods in Horseheads. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Monday, April 15th at 1 pm in Resurrection Tabernacle, 964 Lake St., Elmira. Rev. Gerald Glover will officiate. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family. His family wishes to thank the 4-D staff at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for their care and kindness.
