Obituary of Caramel Crittenden
CRITTENDEN, Caramel
Age 99 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 15, 1920 in Elmira, daughter of the late Dominic and Anna (Navone) Brenzo and passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital Skilled Nursing, where she was a resident on the 5th floor. Caramel was the last of 10 siblings. In addition to her parents and siblings she was predeceased by her husband Albert, daughter Monica and sons Hugh Allen and Mark. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jacqualine and Robert Raniewicz of Elmira; daughter-in-law Bonnie Crittenden of Henrietta, NY; grandchildren Tina (Brian Felix) White of Elmira, Brian (Cindy) Raniewicz of Alexandria, VA, Angela (Mark) Fossaceca of Painted Post, Daniel J. (Kristen) Raniewicz of Horseheads, Mark (Kelly) Raniewicz of Horseheads and Crista (Chris) Rock of Pittsburgh, PA; great grandchildren Mackenzie McClure, Sierra McClure, Louis Fossaceca and Vera Jane Raniewicz along with several nieces and nephews she held near and dear to her heart. Mrs. Crittenden was known for her cooking. She loved gardening and crocheting. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 7th at 10 am in St. Casimir's Church. Rev. Scott Kubinski, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery. Her family would also like to thank all the staff at the skilled nursing units at Arnot and St. Joseph's Hospitals for all the love and care they provided her during her lengthy stay there. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Carrie through donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
