Obituary of Agnes L. Meyers

MEYERS, Agnes L. "Aggie" Age 91 of Southport. She was born August 27, 1923 in Athens, PA, daughter of the late Ray and Letha (Cooper) Vosburg and passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at home. Agnes was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John J. Meyers on January 31, 2005 and her son-in-law Jim Golden on October 7, 2002. She is survived by her children Francis (Linda) Meyers of Pine Valley, Ruth Golden of Elmira, John R. (Virginia) Meyers of Warner Robins, GA and Ann Knickerbocker, her caregiver, and son-in-law Joe Knickerbocker of Elmira; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandson Adrian James Rosekrans of Lowman. Agnes retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Horseheads. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, April 15th from 5 to 7 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 7 pm. Rev. Donald Knapp will officiate. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery, Athens, PA at the convenience of the family.
