Obituary of Joanne Beverly Miller

MILLER, Joanne Beverly Age 80 of Elmira, NY. Joanne was born January 20, 1939 in Rossie, NY, daughter of the late Donald E. and Jessie L. (Vert) Parow and passed away early Sunday, August 18th, 2019 while surrounded by her family at Arnot Odgen Medical Center, in Elmira. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Frank Allington. She is survived by her three children, James Miller, Joylynn Slater, and Jody (Lewis) Updike; 8 beloved grandchildren; 11 dear great-grandchildren; her loving companion, Hamilton "Skip" Hollenbeck, with whom she would have spent 50 years on December 4th; her sisters Donna Allington, Ruth (Tom) Pierce, and Carol (Vern) Downing; along with several members of extended family and dear friends. Joanne retired from A& P Foods in Elmira and enjoyed a quiet life including her passion for crocheting. She deeply loved her family and will be remembered as a loving and wonderful mother grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family follows her wishes that there be no public services.
