Obituary of Nicholas Senkiw

SENKIW, Nicholas Age 99 of Elmira, NY passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility with his brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Rose Senkiw, by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Esther in 2007. Nick is survived by his brother Frank Senkiw of Culavista, CA; brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Rose Senkiw of Elmira; sister Rose Houper of Corning along with several nieces and nephews; stepson Gary Caparullo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and retired from Winchester Optical. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, December 31st from 11 am to 12 noon. His funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
