Obituary of Jacqueline Groom

GROOM, Jacqueline Age 51 of Elmira, NY. Jacqueline was born February 15, 1962 in Elmira, NY to the late Albert and Virginia (Lattimer) Groom and passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She is predeceased by sisters Anna (Raymond) Golden, Bonnie (Bernard) Huhta, Madeline Groom, Gloria (Curtis)Tuck, brother in-law Jose Perez, mother- in-law Catherine Richards and sister-in-law Diana Ayers. Jacqueline is survived by her loving life partner of 32 years Robert Shock Sr.; father-in-law Melvin Shock; two sons, Robert, Jr. and Jason; daughter Melissa; two special granddaughters Niyanni and Nakya; and sisters Donna Groom (Nelson Pacheco), Dixie (Jose) Molina, Charlene Perez, and Regina (Iluminado) Pacheco of the Groom Family. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Douglas Shock (Jutta Brink), and William Ayer; sisters-in-law; Donna (Harry) Kelly, Bonnie Shock, Sheila (David) Simmons, Linda (William) Kachuroi, and Carol Shock (Marcus Purifoy) along with special niece Virginia Molina and nephew Harry Kelly Jr, and countless other nieces and nephews along with special friend Louis Cabrera. Jacqueline was a very special grandmother, mother, sister and most importantly friend to everyone. Family and Friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 868 Lake. Lake St, Elmira on Thursday, March 14th from 1 to 2 pm. Her Memorial Service will follow at 2pm. Rev. Duane Arnold will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
