Obituary of Viola Aili Hartman

HARTMAN, Viola Aili, Tuning, Milliron Age 76 of Elmira, NY. She was born April 1, 1942 in Ware, MA, daughter of the late George and Lajaha (Nurmi) Tuning and passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at home after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Ronald G. Hartman; sons Michael Joe (Kathi) Milliron of Elmira and Thomas J. (Sandi) Milliron of Oak Hill, NC; grandson Alexander J.F. Milliron of SC; granddaughter Courtney Ann Milliron of NC; former husband Tom W. Milliron of Horseheads; sister Joan (Tuning) Michaels; 3 stepsons along with several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Charlie and Coty. Viola was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Sunday School teacher, choir, hand bells and was the St. Lucia bride in 1959. She was an Executive Secretary/Office Manager of various companies including IBM, Moore Business Forms, Streeter Associates, EPC, Powers Manufacturing and CDS. Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday, July 7th at 11 am in Bethany Lutheran Church, 256 S. Walnut St., Elmira. Following the service, all are invited to the Elmira ELKS Lodge #62, 300 E. Gray St, Elmira for a luncheon and to continue celebrating Vi's life. Interment will take place in Ashland Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
