DERR, Dennis A. "Denny"

Age 75 of Elmira, NY. He was born June 19, 1942 in Elmira and passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 after an extended illness. Denny was predeceased by his mother Martha and brothers Ronald, Duane, and Jerry. He is survived by his loving wife Penny (PF); children Rayna (Harley), Kenny (Michelle), Dennis, and Courtney (Aaron); beloved grandchildren Dylan, Riley, Colin, and Kennadee (Noogie); sister-in-law Cindy Derr along with several nieces, nephews and friends including special friends Don & Nancy, Art & Jeannette, Walt & Marie, Joe & Bobbie, Jack & Jan. Denny retired from Dalrymple Construction; owned Derr Brothers Excavating with his brother Ron and Wild Country Productions. He was a well known musician in the area and across the country, playing with many famous country musicians and leading his band "Denny Derr's Wild Country". Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, May 11th from 4pm to 7 pm. His memorial service will follow at 7 pm.
