SCHLAUFMAN, Christine M. (Madl)

Age 51 of Elmira Heights, NY passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Christine worked for Chemung County ARC for years, after being a home health aide. She was free spirited and outgoing. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her friends, baking and keeping her friends in good spirits. She is survived by her parents Donald and Patricia Madl of Zephyrhills, FL; her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Denise Madl of Elmira; her children Jacob and Zachary Schlaufman of Horseheads and step daughter Amanda Painter of Elmira Heights; along with numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and her cherished and beloved dog Lexi. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, March 1st from 3 to 5 pm. Everyone is welcome to join the family afterwards at the Ukrainian American National Club (Ukie Club), 156 Horseheads Blvd, Elmira Heights. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations in her name to the SPCA
