Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your father and friend. I hope you can find reassurance in the Bibles promise at Job 14:14,15 where it says "If a man dies, can he live again?... You will call, an I will answer you." That hope of a resurrection is mentioned many times in the scriptures and was proven to be possible when Jesus performed this miracle himself while on earthy. (John 11:39-44) I hope this has brought you a bit of comfort during this difficult time.
