Obituary of Evelyn G. Cronin

Evelyn G. Cronin of Horseheads, passed away January 24, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to parents Earl and Marie Willison and had two sisters, Ruth (Ciccotti) and Louise (Blair, Hildum). The Willison family moved to Elmira in the 1930's and Evelyn met and married her high school sweetheart John "Jack" Cronin in 1942 and had one daughter Jacqueline. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, sisters and husband and is survived by her daughter and very close nieces and nephews; Anthony Ciccotti of Oldsmar, FL, Patricia Ciccotti of Westminster, CO, Michael Ciccotti of Watkins Glen, NY, Ruth Graham of Horseheads, NY and Thomas Ciccotti of Horseheads, NY, and their families. Nephew Michael Blair of Lawrenceville, PA died in 2013. She is also survived by many Cronin nieces and nephews, including Marcy and Martin Russell of Elmira and Horseheads and Charles and John Russell of Orlando, FL. A longtime resident of Catalpa Drive, Evelyn loved music and dancing, dining and traveling with friends and was most happy at family gatherings and finding ways to make loved ones laugh. She created many indelible memories for all who were lucky enough to spend time with her and will be so very missed by all. A private family gathering and graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Walter J. Kent Funeral Home.
