Obituary of Ruby Lee Geter

GETER, Ruby Lee Age 95 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 12, 1922 in Swainsboro, GA, daughter of the late Estella (Mitchum) Harper and passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry in 1972 and her son Henry in August of 2017. Ruby is survived by her daughter Bertha Geter of Elmira, son Donald Geter of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren, Otis, Regina, Carmen, Lynnae, Christopher, Chelsey, Laetitia, Jamus, and Henry Geter, sister in law Mary Harper, along with a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family in Elmira. Ruby was a woman with a happy spirit; she loved to laugh and passed that love onto her family. She attended St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church in Elmira. Family and friends are invited to her graveside service on Monday, September 25th at 2 pm in Woodlawn Cemetery. Please meet at the Walnut St. gate at 1:45 pm.
