Obituary of David A. Pass

PASS, David A. Age 73 of Horseheads, NY. He was born December 26, 1943 in Riverside, CA, son of the late Donald Burton and Helen Elizabeth (Nichols) Pass and passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his children, Kimberly S. Pass-Howard and Charles E. (Amy) Pass, step-daughter Kelly Lynn, grandson Kyle S. Salyga, great granddaughter Aaliyah Rose-Salyga, step grandchildren Cody Doane (McKenzie Hutsick) with children, McKenna Fenton, Keagin Doane, and Orlannah Doane; Alicia (Aaron) Golden, Kelly (Patrick) Thiel, Charity (David) Klein, brother Edward E. Pass and children Brandie (Reese), Brian, Ed, and Teri; sister Shirley J. (Dan) Pass-Bateman and children Dan Jr., Christopher, Melissa, Beth, and Laura, along with Bonna Lynne Miles, who was married to David for 17 years; Alice Royce, who was engaged to David for 12 years, a host of beloved step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, special friend Robert Harvey Jr., and his dear canine companion Mitzie. David served his country in active duty in the Navy for 17 years. He was employed by the A&P Plant for 21 years. He was an avid bowler and will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, especially in tough times. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Friday September, 22, 2017 from 11 am to 12 pm. David's funeral service will be held at 12 pm. Private interment and committal with military honors will follow at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY.
