Obituary of Catherine Lauferswiler

LAUFERSWILER, Catherine Age 73 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 17, 1944 in Elmira, daughter of the late Coral and Irene (Brown) Christian and passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 unexpectedly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Grace Christian. Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Sylvester; sons and daughters-in-law Christopher and Jessie Lauferswiler and John and Brandy Lauferswiler; second mother to Cynthia Bastian; brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Joyce Christian; sister and brother-in-law Marie (Edie) and Larry Butters; grandchildren Rachael, Emery and Joey Rice, Avery, Kingston, John, Jr. and Gracelynn Lauferswiler along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, August 4th, 2017 from12 pm to 1 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
