Obituary of Ronald B. Simpson

SIMPSON, Ronald B., Sr. "Snake" Age 73 of Elmira, NY. He was born October 1, 1943 in Valois, NY, son of the late Conrad and Myra (Lyons) Simpson and passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at home. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Theresa "Mimi" (Cook) Simpson; children Ronald (Tina) Simpson, Jr., Michael (Daylene) Simpson, Michelle (Carl Mustico) Simpson and Jennifer (Eric Dates) Simpson; grandchildren Katie Reese, Riley, Brooklinn and Devon Simpson all of Elmira; brother Donald Simpson of Lodi, NY; sister Karen (Joseph) Wood of NC; brothers-in-law John C. Cook and Jeremiah Cook both of Elmira; several nieces and nephews; special friends Donnie Cantando, Skip Olmstead, Sean Davis and Shawn Pierson all of Elmira. Snake retired from John H. Cook, Jr. Painting Contractors. He was the unofficial head honcho at Mimi's where he enjoyed all of his friends and customers. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing may remember Snake through donations to the Elmira Animal Shelter, 842 Linden Place, Elmira, NY 14901. His family would like to thank Dr. Freeman and his nurse Renee Sullivan (his sweetheart!) for the amazing and wonderful care they provided him over the last 20 years, along with Dr. Romeo. Walter J.
