BERG, Phyllis (Prydryga)

Age 90 of Horseheads, NY.

She was born March 12, 1927 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Laskowski) Prydryga and passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Appleridge. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, John H. Berg in 2006, and her dear sisters Gertrude and Valeria. She is survived by her sons, James (Donna) Dartt, John Dartt, and William (Susan) Berg; grandchildren, Jason (Debora) Berg, Jenna Berg, and Brian (Jesse) Dartt; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Phyllis is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She greatly enjoyed playing the piano and travelling. She was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish and attended St. Casimir's for many years. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave. on Saturday, June 17th from 10 am to 11 am. Phyllis' funeral service will be held at 11am. Private interment and committal prayers will take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira. The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to Appleridge along with Bethany Home Care, especially Colleen.
