Obituary of Gary Ernest Pisall

Gary E. Pisall of Elmira Heights, NY passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Those who had the pleasure to meet him will remember Gary for his quick wit and ever-present smile. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service from the United States Air Force. At the time of his death, Gary resided in the same loving home his father, Ernie and mother Beverly built, who preceded his passing along with his beloved daughter Wendy. He leaves a large void in his family's heart. He is survived by his loving wife and devoted partner, Sandra Pisall after 30 years of marriage. Gary leaves his son, Kurt Pisall, his wife Kimberly, their children: Garison, Kody, Zack, and Alyson, who blessed him with great-grandchildren: Avery and Carter. Gary is survived by 2 sisters: Cheryl Baldwin and Bonnie Baky. He is also survived by 3 step-children: Karen Lieber, her husband, Dwane, their children: Clair and Morgan; Dennis Hindman, his wife, Laura, and his daughter, Miranda; and Cindy Moray, her wife Brenna Moray, along with their children: Helana and Mack. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, April 7th from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Gary through donations to the American Cancer Society.
