Obituary of Richard P. Jarvis

JARVIS, Richard P. III Age 24 of Kalamazoo, MI, formerly of Horseheads, NY. He was born December 13, 1992 in Johnson City, NY and passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 unexpectedly in Michigan. He is survived by his parents Jenne (Diacatos) Jarvis of Horseheads and Richard P. Jarvis II of Orange City, FL; brother Timothy Jarvis of Horseheads; step sister Kristine Kohler of Wellsburg, NY; step brother Kurtis Kohler of Elmira Heights; paternal grandparents Richard P. Jarvis of FL and Elizabeth Jarvis of Athens, NY; uncle and aunts John P. Diacatos (his Godfather) of TN, Alexandra E. Diacatos-Rallis of Elmira Heights, Melissa Jarvis of Albany, Theresa Braun of Long Island and Susanne Jarvis(his Godmother) of Hudson, NY along with several cousins. Richard was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Jerry and Jean Diacatos. He graduated from Horseheads High School and BOCES Conservation Program in 2011. Richard was formerly employed with Edger Enterprises and the Starlite Room. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, March 27th from 1 to 3 pm. His funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Rev. Father Richard Scott will officiate. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
