Obituary of Nancyann Kramer-Coval
KRAMER-COVAL, Nancyann
Age 85, formerly of Wellsburg NY, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Manor at Bethany Village, Horseheads NY, where she lived since January 2015. She was born February 20, 1931 in Sunbury PA, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Elliott) Keithan. She was a 1949 graduate of Sunbury High School and attended Bloomsburg State College. On January 11, 1953 she married Richard W. Kramer. The couple spent their first year of marriage in England, where Dick was stationed in the Air Force. Nancy was a homemaker while her children were young, and later worked as a secretary for the Boy Scout office in Sunbury. She also acted as the secretary and bookkeeper for Kramer Industrial Pump Service and Kramer Control Systems, Inc. After the sale of the family businesses, Nancy and Dick moved to Shushan, NY. He died in 1984. On July 16, 1986 Nancy married Leon Coval. She was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Elmira Heights, NY. Through their connection with the Russian Orthodox Church, she and Leon made friends around the world and opened their home to many international visitors. Nancy enjoyed traveling and reading, and loved to watch the deer, bears and turkeys that wandered through their backyard in Wellsburg. Nancy's compassion for others led her to work for a time as a hospice volunteer. Nancy is survived by her husband Leon of Horseheads, NY; three daughters: Deborah Runton of Sunbury PA, Julie (Eric) Miller of Hanover PA, Elizabeth (Richard) Swivel of Dillsburg PA; one stepdaughter, Margaret Coval (Randy McBrayer) of Elizabeth CO; and one stepson John (Kathy) Coval of Breesport NY. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Moore. Family and friends are invited to visit Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church, 140 Horseheads Blvd., Elmira Heights, NY on Wednesday, January 11th from 2 to 4 pm. Her funeral service will follow at 4 pm. Rev. Fr. Jason Kappanadze will officiate. Committal Prayers and Interment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury PA on Thursday, January 12th at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Nancy through donations to Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church, 140 Horseheads Blvd. Elmira Heights, NY 14903.
