Obituary of Helen M. Zagozewski

ZAGOZEWSKI, Helen M. Age 83 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born January 31, 1929 in Elmira, daughter of the late Theophilus and Victoria (Mitus) Ptaszek and passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband Edward on December 6, 2005; sisters and brothers Louise Gantert, Rosie, Leo and Theodore Ptaszek and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Holly Zagozewski of Oldsmar, FL; step granddaughter Krystine Neer (her mother Lorraine); step great granddaughters Hannah and Valerie Neer all of Paso Robles, CA. along with several nieces and nephews. Helen was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish (St. Casimir's Church). She was employed with LaValley-McLeod, J.J. Newberry and retired from the Star Gazette. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, January 2nd from 10 to 11 am. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 11 am. Rev. Scott Kubinski will officiate. Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Helen through donations to the charity of one's choice.
