Obituary of Reginald H. Corley

CORLEY, Reginald H. Age 50 of Elmira. He was born on August 14, 1966, son of Martha Corley and the late Hugh Johnson and passed away on October 10, 2016. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by grandparents, Malqueen and Bossi Corely. Reginald is survived by his children, Reginald Jr., Ciera, and Allison Corely; the mother of his children, Toni Yannarilli; his grandson, Nazir Corley, along with family in Washington D.C. and many friends. Reggie was brought to Elmira when he was given a scholarship to play basketball for Elmira College. He is fondly remembered for his work as a Youth Division Aide Counselor with the Division for Youth in Ithaca, as well as a brief time working for the Elmira Psychiatric Center, and many years tending bar at Ramsey's in Elmira. He was most recently at Texas Road House. Reggie's personality gathered many friends throughout his life. He was a genuine man and a wonderful father. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave. on Thursday, October 20th 2016, from 5 to 7 pm. Reggie's funeral service will be held at 7 pm. Interment will take place at a later date. His family wishes to extend their thanks to friends that reached out to support the family at this difficult time. Special gratitude goes to the employees of Texas Roadhouse and the Andy's Outreach Fund.
