Obituary of Richard E. Glosenger
GLOSENGER, Richard E.
Age 85 of Beaver Dams, NY.
He was born September 2, 1930 in Sayre, PA, son of the late George Andrew and Freda (Struhm) Glosenger and passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Seneca View Nursing Facility. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his son, Scott Andrew Glosenger and 7 of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons; Mark, Joseph, James, and Jeffrey Glosenger; sister, Mary Campbell; grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Spencer, Sevannah, and Sebastian, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard retired from A & P Foods in Elmira where he worked as a candy maker for 13 years. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Wednesday, March 30th, from 1 pm to 2pm. Mr. Glosenger's funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm. Committal service with full military honors will be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery at a later date.
