Obituary of Gladys L. Barton

BARTON, Gladys L. Age 92 of Horseheads, NY. She was born March 4, 1920 in Elmira, daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel (Sheldon) Dunn and passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband William T. Barton, Sr. in 1964; brothers Bruce, Ken, Ray, Pete and Robert and sister Maxine. Gladys is survived by her children William T. , Jr. and Carrie Barton of Horseheads, Marnie Lea and Alan Kieffer of Avondale, AZ; sisters Hazel MacLaury of Altoona, PA and Marjorie Haflett of Elmira; grandchildren William T. Barton III, Richard G. Barton, Scott W. Barton, Kimberly S. Barton, Jason Kieffer and Michael Kieffer along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews including special nieces Jean, Midge and Pat; and special friend Rose Houper. Gladys was a former member of the Elmira Moose and the Elmira Eagles Clubs. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
