Obituary of Charlotte A Stone

STONE, Charlotte A. Age 83 of Horseheads, NY. She was born July 23, 1929 in Big Flats, NY, daughter of the late Raymond L. and Maude (Fitzsimmons) Easterbrook and passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband Richard C. Stone on December 10, 2010; son-in-law Charles Green; brother Robert Hooey and sister Helen Ebersole and is survived by her daughters Nancy Green of Horseheads and Carol A. Stone of Corning; granddaughter Tonya Norton of Corning; brother Ramen Easterbrook of Big Flats; sister Jean (Leon) Chameidef of Hartford, CT; sister-in-law Irene Hooey of Horseheads along with several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a member of the Big Flats Presbyterian Church, Big Flats Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary Post 154, and Order of the Eastern Star, Excelsior Chapter, Big Flats. She graduated from Northside High School in Corning Class of 1948 and retired from Westinghouse after 30 years of service. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, December 10th from 12 to 2 pm. Her memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Rev Richard Price will officiate. Committal prayers and entombment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Charlotte through donations to the charity of one's choice.
