To Nancie's family and friends: We worked together at the John L. Norris for Alcoholism from 1975-1979. Nancy was at her best with people who needed a good listener - but who wasn't afraid to set limits. Nancie always had a great relationship with our mutual boss: Dr. Ruth Oakley. It was at Dr. Oakley's funeral that I last saw Nancie. I told her that I was always jealous of her relationship with Dr. Oakley as it was my lived experience that Dr. Oakley was not a big fan of men! Nancie made the world a better place for many who had given up hope that life could be better. I treasure our memories of working together. Phil
