Obituary of George G. Kosmaler

KOSMALER, George Grant Age 71, of Elmira. Born October 19th, 1943, the son of the late Dr. Charles Henry Kosmaler Sr. and Anna Wright Kosmaler, and passed away on April 20th, 2015. George was raised in Elmira and later moved to New York City where he worked many years for the Parks Department and cultivated a great love of nature. Upon his return to Elmira, George continued his unlimited curiosity about the conservation of plants and animals alike. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his sister; Prudence Nordblom. He is survived by his brother; Charles H. Kosmaler Jr, sister; Katherine Kosmaler, niece; Lisa Taylor, and his great-niece; Cassidy Taylor. Those wishing may attend Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 604 Park Place in Elmira, on Sunday, June 14th at 5pm, as a memorial to George's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing make a donation in George's name to a charity of their choice. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
