Obituary of Percy R. Brown

BROWN, Percy R. Age 93 of Elmira, NY. He was born November 14, 1921 in Elmira, son of the late Ray and Catie (Smith) Brown and passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Elcor Health Services. He was predeceased by his wife Clara Rohde Brown in 2004, daughter Virgene Kobbe, daughter-in-law Patricia Brown, son-in-law James Cook, brothers Emmitt and Gerald Brown and sisters Eleanor and Shirley. Percy is survived by his children William Brown of Elmira, Art (Judy) Brown of Northampton, PA, Raymond (Angie) Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, Gretchen Cook of Raleigh, NC and Sally (Thomas) Spreng of Elmira; son-in-law Don Kobbe of Elmira Heights; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Percy retired from Facet Enterprises and was a member of F.O.E. #941 Elmira. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, May 2nd from 12 to 2 pm. His funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Percy's family thanks the staff at Elcor, especially Brenda, for the wonderful care they provided him during his stay there.
