Obituary of Scott L. Cokely

COKELY, Scott L. Age 58 of Elmira, NY. He was born August 2, 1956 in Elmira, NY, son of Harold and Grace (Campbell) Cokely and passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Cokely in 1999 and is survived by his mother Grace; sisters Margo (James) Symonds, Patricia (Doug) Lee, both of Elmira and Pamela (Jerry) Forker of Weaversville, NC; brother Berry (Kathy) Cokely of Geneva, NY; dear friend of 39 years, Kathleen Merrone of Elmira. He was employed by Arnot Ogden Medical Center for the last 9 years and Pierce's Restaurant for 16 years. He was an avid Bills, Mets and Southside High School sports fan, enjoyed playing cards with his mother and loved and adored his great nieces and great nephews. Christmas was his favorite holiday. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, April, 19th from 1 to 3 & 6 to 8 PM. His funeral will be held there on Monday, April 20th at 11:00 am. Rev. Robert Adkins will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
