Obituary of Angeline M. DiPetta

DiPETTA, Angeline M. (Punzo) Age 91 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 4, 1924 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Peter and Incornato (Lombardo) Punzo and passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Anthony M. (Lefty) DiPetta, in 2004, along with her brothers and sisters Anthony Punzo, Mary Antuzzi, Rose Monitello, Margaret Miller, Elizabeth DellaRocco, Grace Wood, James Punzo, Joseph Punzo and Daniel Punzo; sisters-in-law Rose Stuck and Carmella Criss. Angeline is survived by her loving children; Michael A. DiPetta, Mary Margaret (John) Pariso, Martin (Susan) DiPetta, Tina Lackey, and Anthony J. (Mitzie) DiPetta, all of Elmira, NY, grandchildren; Bernadette (Ted) Pack, Mark J. (Colleen) Pariso, Matthew J. Pariso, Christopher Lackey, Dr. Martin (Caitlin), Joseph, Michael J. (Dr. Susan Beall-DiPetta), Kristin & Emily DiPetta; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katelyn, Zachary, Jack, Luke, John, Casey & Grace; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Matthew (Donna) DiPetta, Lucy (Ted) Zaparzinski, Michael (Roseann) DiPetta and Christine Mathews along with several nieces and nephews. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Anthony's Church); a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies and the Mocchi Club. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, March 26th from 4 to 7 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Friday, March 27th at 9:30 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Rev. John DeSocio, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
