Obituary of Corine Givens

GIVENS, Corine (Corbett) Age 94 of Elmira, NY. She was born March 5, 1920 in Orangeburg County, SC, daughter of the late Herman Corbett and Maebel Stroman, and passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at home. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Givens and son Isadore Perry, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Beverly (Willie) Wells and Theora Wells; sons Chester Perry and Eugene Perry all of Elmira; 27 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was employed with A & P Foods in Horseheads and was a foster parent for over 20 years for Chemung County. Family and friends are invited to visit Faith Temple Community Church of God In Christ, Harper Street, Elmira on Saturday, February, 28th from 12 to 1 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 1 pm. Rev. Sam O. Pulliam will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
