Obituary of Wesley J. Vanderpool

VANDERPOOL, Wesley J. Age 76 of Elmira, NY. He was born November 16, 1936 in Elmira, son of the late Andrew and Helen (Parks) Vanderpool and passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was predeceased by his sister Ann and brothers Robert and Richard. Wes is survived by his children Contrena (Clarence III) Lawrence, Alice Taft and Wesley (Kelly Boston) Schuyler; longtime companion Juanita Schuyler; stepchildren Jesse and Adam Schuyler all of Elmira; grandchildren Merissa Russell, Christopher Russell, Jr., Austin Schuyler, Jordan Taft, Hailey Schuyler, Asia Schuyler, Clarence Lawrence IV, Clarissa Lawrence, Kurra, Kyra, Adam, Jr., Eli, Raylynn and Amina Schuyler; brother Gene (Sandy); sisters Amy and Pearl. Wes owned Wes Vanderpool & Son Sheetrock and Painting; was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Korea; a member of the American Legion Post 443, VFW Post 901 and the Moose Club all in Elmira. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, November 21st from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
