Flo (as she was known by many) was blessed with two wonderful husbands who preceded her. Chester Maslinski and Peter Ball who together gave her 6 wonderful children, and many grand and great grandchildren and others who she considered a part of her immediate family. She took pride in having such a large and loving family that played a big part of her everyday life and provided many happy memories.
She is survived by her 5 daughters: Patricia Maslinski Comfort of Anniston AL, Linda Maslinski Kulago (John deceased) of Gillett, PA, Marilou Ball Pierson (William ) of Churchton, MD , Susan Ball Piper (Larwence) of Painted Post, NY ,Annmarie Ball Streff (Peter ) of Burke, VA, and special niece Barbara Studzinski Repsher of Elmira NY and predeceased son Ronald Ball.
Grandchildren of Kerena Comfort Sayers, Timothy Kulago, Kevin Comfort, Christina Piper Kager, Elizabeth Pierson, Daniel Piper, Erika Pierson, and Great Nieces Felicia Repsher Torres and Andrea Repsher Shields who were like grandchildren to her. Also, predeceased by grandson Paul Kulago.
She was the great grandmother of 6 and the great, great aunt to 2 nephews who she considered her great grandchildren.
Sister to Louis Senkow and deceased brothers Vincent Studzinski and Henry Studzinski.
Her first passion was always "food" any time day or night. Anyone who stopped by for a visit was usually offered something to eat. Her home and heart was open to every person who came through the door. The first thing you noticed when entering her home was the ROOSTERS!!! Her vast collection was in every room of the house and the topic of many conversations. There was never a time in which she did not open her refrigerator and heart to all who entered her home. Hobbies included cooking, playing cards, talking on the phone, and knitting all while listening to polka music.
She was an active member of St. Cecilia's Parish (Blessed Sacrament Parish), Catholic War Veterans, and American Legion in Elmira Heights.
Family and friends are invited to visit Walter Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, August 28th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Wednesday, August 29th at 9:30 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
