Obituary of Emma Ann Moss

MOSS, Emma Ann Age 71 of Elmira, NY. She was born August 23, 1943 in Elmira, daughter of the late Willie and Reba (Thomas) Mills and went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was predeceased by her husband Lonnie in 1995 and is survived by her daughter Reba (Guy) Moss-Martin; son Lonnie (Monika) Moss; very close cousins (as sisters) Ernestine Ross and Marlena Guerrero-Lopez; grandchildren Julia, Kathrin, Anna and Eboni; great grandchildren Je'Lijah, Alexander, Zariyah, Christian and KaeLianna and a host of loving family and friends. She was a faithful member of Monumental Baptist Church. While there, she was a member of the Who So Ever Club (in her teen years), later on she became a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Pastor's Aid and the Gospel Chorus, which she really enjoyed. Emma loved life; she enjoyed her family, church and serving the Lord. Family and friends are invited to visit Monumental Baptist Church, 308 E. Clinton St., Elmira on Monday, January 12th from 12 to 1 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Special thanks to the 2nd floor staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for the years of caring for Emma.
