Obituary of Genevieve L. Harris

HARRIS, Genevieve L. Age 94 of Elmira, NY. She was born December 19, 1919 in Elmira, daughter of the late Leon and Bernice Kraszewski and passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was predeceased by her husband George W. Harris in 1992 and son Michael G. Harris in 1995. Genevieve is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law William M. and Kathleen of Amherst, NY, Albert L. of Woodburn, OR and John E. and Margaret of Elmira; grandchildren Jonathan M. (Christi) Harris, Anna E. (David) Collins, Matthew J. (Adrianna) Harris, Brian J. Harris and Matthew W.(Teresa) Harris along with 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Harris was a lifelong communicant of St. Casimir's Church and a member of the Rosary and Sacred Heart Society. She was employed for many years at Holy Family Jr. High School. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 27th at 9 am in St. Casimir's Church, 1012 Davis St., Elmira. Rev. Scott Kubinski, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
