Obituary of David W. Maxwell

MAXWELL, David W. "Crockett" Age 58 of Elmira, NY and formerly of Ithaca, NY went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 18th, 2014. David was born in Elmira, NY on February 2nd, 1956, son of the late Clinton William and Nellie Hairston Nickens. He was preceded in death by his brother; William Clinton Nickens Jr., his sister; Joyce Hall, and brother-in-law; Donald Gillmore. David is survived by his siblings; Otis (Lisa) Maxwell, James Maxwell, George (Millie) Nickens, Timothy Nickens, Loren (April) Nickens, Lindley Nickens, Lawrence Nickens, Carol Anne Gillmore, and Debbie Jones, sister-in-law; Gloria Nickens, his aunt Mozelle Holmes, uncle Jacob Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. David had a love of cooking; Crocks Hots. A memorial service to honor David's life will be held at the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake Street at Washington Avenue, on Thursday, September 25th at 4pm.
