Obituary of William R. Bastion Sr.

Age 78, of Elmira Heights, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wives: Dawn, Erma and Sharon. Survivors that are left to cherish his memory are: sons, Guy Bastion with his son, Nikolas and William R. Bastion Jr. with his daughters, Kaylyne and Bella Minor; siblings: Daniel D. Bastion with his son, Steven and daughter, Sarah; Sharon Herman with her daughters, Pamela and Beth; Diana Bastion with sons, Edwin Kania and Theodore Kania; David Bastion with his daughter, Jackie; Linda Bastion with her children, Michael Bastion, Jennifer and Anthony Shaddock; Patricia "Patty" DeYoung with her daughters, Kristi and Melissa; Keith Bastion with his daughter, Kayla; Holly Nix with her son, Barry Wixson and daughter, Brooke Wixson; Sharon's children: James (Laura) Kelley III; daughters, Suzanne Kelsey and Melanie (Bob) Hricko; along with several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. William worked for National Homes and Pepsi Cola Bottling Company. He retired from Trayer Products as a fork lift operator. William was a huge NASCAR fan and followed # 6 Mark Martin. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling and golfing. In his free time you would always find him tinkering with model cars. A Celebration of his life will take place at a later date and time.
