Obituary of Olga Barron
Olga (Sandy) Barron
November 29, 1934 - August 28, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olga Barron on August 28, 2024. God gained another angel when Olga, a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, joined her heavenly family. Born on November 29, 1934, Olga was predeceased by her beloved sons, Jeffery McLean Michael Barron, stepson: Patrick McLean; her husbands, Franklin (Bud) McLean, David Barron; mother (Mary Magnus), father (Sverra Magnus), and sister (Carol Troy).
A resident of 77 York Ave, Elmira, and formerly of Locke, NY, Olga is survived by her devoted daughters, Vicki Dennis (Stephen), Julie Brojakowski (Dan), and Mary Van Nest; her two loving sisters Jean Guidi and Connie Hibbard (Jeff); and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves a legacy of love in her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who were all blessed to have her in their lives. Olga's special companion, Maddie, her loyal Pomeranian, will also miss her dearly.
Olga was a remarkable person who always put others first. She had a heart full of kindness and was known for always being there to help her friends and neighbors. She was a talented cook, and her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of her delicious goodies, which she generously shared with everyone she knew. With a green thumb and a passion for gardening, Olga took pride in her beautiful flowers and flourishing plants, which brought joy to everyone who saw them.
A special thanks to the Robert Packer ICU for all of their tender care and support during Olga's final days. The family's gratitude for their kindness and compassion is beyond measure.
Family and friends are invited to her graveside service on Thursday, September 5th at 1 pm at Willow Glen Cemetery, 2090 Dryden Road (Rt. 13), Dryden, NY. Visitation will be Friday, September 6th from 10 to 111 am at Christian Faith Fellowship, 719 Holdridge St., Elmira. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 am.
