Obituary of Belinda Stirrup

Belinda M. Stirrup Age 68 of Horseheads, NY. She was born July 6, 1956 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Howard and Josephine (Ector) Crouthamel and passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, John D. Stirrup in 2018; son John Stirrup in 2011 and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Jennifer Stirrup of Salisbury, NC and Thomas and Alyssa Stirrup of Pine City; grandchildren Zack, Cassie, Olivia, Eli and Evan Stirrup; great grandchildren Silas and Lillian; brothers Howard (Lori) Crouthamel, Dave Crouthamel both of Elmira, Winfield (Anita) Crouthamel of Millport; sister Jennifer Grist of Horseheads along with several nieces and nephews. Belinda retired from Top's Supermarket as Bakery Manager. Most importantly, she was devoted to her family. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She was a selfless person, always doing for others, expecting nothing in return. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, August 31st from 2 to 4 pm. Her memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Rev. Richard Hack, officiating.
