Obituary of Frances Ida Heifferon

Frances Ida Heifferon Age 97 of Horseheads, NY passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Woodlawn, IL. Frances was a member of the New York Chapter of FMCA and was a longtime member and president of the Bridgeport, NY Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, brother Eldon French and sons-in-law David Oltz & Wayne Nicastro and is survived by her 8 children; Kathleen (Earl) Persons of Ruther Glen, VA, Susan Nicastro of Plum Tree, NC, Linda Oltz of Selma, NC, David (Kathy) of Elmira, Nancy (Roy) Willette of Horseheads, James (Amy) of Binghamton, Charles (Maria) of Medford, NY and Patrick of Horseheads along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren; brother Winston French of Clearwater, FL; nephew Steven French of New Port Richey, FL. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, June 10th from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in Bath National Cemetery.
