Dale married Tina Hautala on January 15, 1972, in Spencer, New York. Together, they raised three children: Lynn (Donald) Earley, Danny Foster, and Ella (Erik) Paynter. He was a loving grandfather to Aaron Shamus, Spencer Shamus, and Kian Paynter. Step-grandfather to Thomas Earley, Matthew Earley, Hannah Earley.
As the sixth child out of thirteen siblings, Dale was a cherished brother to Janette Newman, Rodney (Ellen) Foster, Gloria (Otto) Aagard, Jacqueline (Russell) Edwards, (Carol) Foster, Gordon (Rose) Foster, Bradley (Helen) Foster, Donna (Harry) Heidl, Bonnie Marsh, Stanley (Pansy) Foster, Vicki (Frank) Lyon, and Cheryl Karius. He was preceded in death by his brother Leland Foster and his brothers-in-law, Karl Newman and Dave Marsh.
Growing up on a farm in Candor, New York, Dale learned the values of hard work and dedication. He carried these values into his career as a milkman, serving communities across New York and its surrounding states with commitment and kindness. Known for his loving nature, Dale was a revered son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. His hobbies included baseball, cards, golf, basketball, and bowling, each played with joyful enthusiasm and a competitive spirit.
Dale was not only admired for his amiable personality but also for his resilience in the face of life's challenges. Despite his struggle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth and a courageous battle against cancer in his final years, his spirit remained unbroken. Dale continued to embrace life, spending precious moments with his loved ones, whenever he could.
Dale's legacy is defined by his indomitable spirit, his unwavering strength, and the profound love he shared with all who knew him. As we remember Dale, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and deeply felt. His memory will forever inspire and guide us.
