A fortunate child has a caring and loving parent. We were lucky…we had two. We didn't have a lot growing up, but wanted for nothing. Mom always kept the home up, kept us in clean clothes, put three healthy meals on the table, and still made time to bake a wonderful desert each day. You couldn’t wish for a better mom. She was the strongest gal I know, had a heart of gold, and the patience of Job. Mom thoroughly loved children, and it was a joy to see her smile around her grandchildren. Mom’s gift to all of us was teaching us tolerance, caring, and love. We’re sad to see her go, but happy she’s found peace. A part of Mom remains with us….I see her kindness in by siblings and our children, and her responsibility to family lives in all of us.

Thank you Grandma for all the wonderfull Russian Christmas dinners. I will always remember the whole family gathering around the table downstairs over ham, pirohis, pickled harring, and honey bread. Those memories like your candle will never burn out. We love you Grandma

My fondest memory of Joan is the smell of breakfast cooking in the morning and the linens on the line. Christmas dinners were very special and everyone would come. Easter was forever long and walking around the church three times only meant there was yummy stuff to eat later that day. I had the honor of replacing the Corningware dishes when the company came and took her set away. I adore my husband Bill and can only hope I can live up to the Ewsuk humor. Rest in peace Joan. We'll see you on the other side.

A wonderful wife and mother and good friend who with her husband raised wonderful caring children.
Her house was always open for a visit without any call ahead. In a time of crisis with my son she opened her house to us and cared for us as true family members. God bless her and take care of her family.

Think of memories for comfort, lean on family and friends for strength, and always remember how much love surrounds your family. Your mom was an angel on earth and now an angel in heaven. May she rest in peace free of pain and suffering.
