Obituary of Robert M. Decker Sr.

Robert M. Decker, Sr. Age 65 of Elmira, NY. He was born May 27, 1958 in Elmira, son of the late Frederick and Stella (Lewis) Decker and passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at home. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Puggy, Frankie (Theresa) & Jerry; sisters Dorothy (Harvey) Taylor, Shirley & Beverly; brother-in-law Jake Miller; in laws Bea and Carl Steinhelper; nieces, nephews, beloved pets Buddy & Miracle and a handful of friends. Robert is survived by his wife Linda; children Bobbi (Rob) Pylkas, Robert Decker & Beverly Decker; grandchildren Brittany (Tarince) Wilson, Tatyana Hill, Stevie (Tyrone) Thigpen, Allison Pylkas, Sydni Pylkas, Abigail Decker, Ethan Decker Cameron Elliott, Anabelle Decker & Amelia Decker; great grandchildren Zerimiah, Zhy'kel, Pootie, Tre'mayne, Ay'ona, Liberty & Talia; stepdaughter Kellie (Jammelee) Green with children Kaiden, Carter & Keegan; sisters Debra (Andy) Ortiz & Gloria Miller; his pal Jeff Canfield and many lifelong friends from the race tracks and casinos and his beloved furbaby Mercedes. Robert was employed with various trucking agencies, Elmira City School bus driver and Totem taxi. He was the king of wheeling and dealing! He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, watching races, bingo and casinos, rummage sales and auctions. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 6th at 2 pm at the Meals on Wheels Event Center, 409 William St., Elmira.
