Obituary of Arthur Lee Williams III
Arthur Lee Williams III, 56, of Elmira, NY, was called home on December 24th, 2023. He was born on November 23rd, 1967, in Elmira, NY to Athur Lee Williams II and Margret (Cheatham) Williams who both predeceased him in eternal rest. He was raised by Lillie (Aunt) and Lucian (Uncle) Rollins. He loved to poke fun at his one and only sister, Sonja Williams. Art leaves behind 4 children; Demetrius (Chestina) Molina, Margrita (Mark) Molina, Arthur Williams IV, and Kelly(Jake) Fry. He certainly was proud and showered his children and his grandchildren with love. His grandchildren: Demetrius Molina Jr., Mark Jones III, Marcia Jones, Ezra Williams (predeceased), Silas Washington, Myanah Jones, Maarion McGee Jr., Nyel Williams, Jacob Fry Jr., and Haiven Williams all had a special place in his heart. He leaves behind: Aunt Shari Simmons, Aunt Cheryl Howard, and Uncle Lionel Cheatham.
Art was a true lover of the bible and loved sharing the word with family and friends. There is no scripture written that he could not interpret and apply to life. Art was a music enthusiast who created his own music, discussed, and educated others on the history of music. Art loved and cherished his family, making people laugh, sharing stories and if you were ever in his presence, you were sure to leave with a smile in your heart. Arthur leaves behind a host of special cousins that will surely miss him. Art loved to travel, he loved sharing stories about all places he has visited and lived. Art was a roofer by trade and worked many years as a contractor. The best part about Art is he loved helping others and would give his last. As we bid farewell to Arthur, we celebrate a life lived full of love and adventure. His journey on this earth was a blessing to us all.
