Obituary of Charlene Y. Saunders

Charlene Yvonne Saunders (Tischer) Age 69 of Elmira, NY, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Charlene was born in Troy, PA to the late Charles and Wilma Tischer on December 20, 1953. Charlene was a strong, independent woman whose hobbies ranged from gardening with her son, playing slotomania with her sister, watching Christmas movies all year round and putting together jigsaw puzzles and watching the snow fall. She loved handing out fresh vegetables from her garden to the neighbors during the summer. Her love for her friends and family always had her door open and a fresh pot of coffee ready for anyone who needed someone to talk to. She was known for her love of frogs and all things green as well as anything Christmas themed. Charlene is survived by her three children; eldest daughter Jennifer Ackley (Saunders); her son Jesse Saunders; youngest daughter Justine Saunders; her three sisters LaVonne Spencer (Tischer) Mary Ann Daugherty (Tischer) and Donna Tischer. Charlene also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law whom she loved dearly.
