Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Holobinko

Elizabeth Ann Holobinko Age 86 of Hammondsport, NY. She was born November 19, 1936 in Philipsburg, PA, daughter of the late Irvin Shaffer and Theona Emma (Shank) Bennett and passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Walter Holobinko. She is survived by her daughters Dr. Carol Holobinko-Haluszczak (William Haluszczak) of Hammondsport, NY, Lori Holobinko-Serbak (Vincent Usaraga) of Mandeville, LA; grandchildren Rachel Locke, Dylan Locke (Jada Reeves) of Irwin, PA, Zachary Haluszczak (Yelena Haluszczak-Myman), Joshua Haluszczak and Christopher Haluszczak all of Hammondsport, NY; sister Dorothy Black of Irwin, PA. Elizabeth was a communing member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church. She was a strong and caring mother, grandmother and a longtime caregiver. She enjoyed reading and was a accomplished seamstress. Family and friends are invited to Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church, 139 Horseheads Blvd, Elmira Heights, NY on Friday, March 24th from 5 to 6 pm. Panikihida will be held at 6 pm. Her funeral service will be held there on Saturday, March 25th at 11 am. Rev. Fr. David Cowan will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Elizabeth through donations to Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church.
