Medelina Buno "Delyn" Lawrence
Age 42, was born July 14, 1980 in Talibon, Bohol, Philippines the daughter of Delfin and Milagros (Gabas) Buno. Delyn went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital with family and friends by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delfin and Milagros; sister, Rosalina Buno; brothers, Juan Buno, Mario Buno and Camelo Buno; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William H. and Anna R. (Jankowski) Lawrence. Delyn is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Edward W. Lawrence; brothers, Ranulfo Buno (Antonia), Renro Buno (Feliciana), Ricardo Buno (Joy) and Delfin Buno Jr. (Julie); sisters, Leonida Buncales (Arsenio), Josefa Soria (Roberto) and Alma Veraque (Roderick); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael R. and Kathleen F. Lawrence; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Delyn was an employee of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center working as a dietary assistant. She loved cooking, spending time at a farm interacting with the animals, enjoyed time spent at the beach and caring for her pet rabbit named "Snow". She was also involved in the ushering team at her church. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Her funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Bishop James Pierce will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Elmira, NY on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:00 am with Bishop Pierce offering the committal prayers.
