Elva L. Stark
December 29, 1941-January 4, 2023
Elva L. Stark (Biddy) was born on December 29, 1941, in Riverhead, Long Island to the late Porter and Viola (Funn) Rollins, Sr. She made her transition on January 4, 2023, with her children and grandchildren by her side. Elva (Biddy) moved to Elmira, New York as a young girl and attended Elmira Free Academy. Elva worked on the parts assembly line at Remington Rand in Elmira, NY. She then continued working as a Nurse's Aide and Physical Therapy Aide at the Chemung County Nursing Facility retiring in 1993. She was the kind of person that never said no to anyone. Whether it was someone needing a roof over their head, food to eat, or a ride; Elva was there. Elva was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed watching Steph Curry play. Elva loved her family immensely and always had an open door to anyone day or night. In addition to her parents, Elva was predeceased by siblings: Porter Rollins, Jr., Douglas, Robert, and Willard (Sonny) Rollins, Ethel Woodson, Virginia Boyd (Ginny), Lillian (Paul) Audinwood and Doris Dennard. She is survived by her sisters Helen Rollins of Elmira, Barbara (Book) Jones of Rochester, NY, Mary (Callie) Prescott of Atlanta, GA. As for best friends, everyone was her best friend, and she was everyone's best friend. Elva (Biddy) leaves her loving children to cherish her memory: Debra (Rob) Clark, Lewis H. Stark, III, Brian T. Stark; daughter-in-laws: Yolanda Stark; Kelly Greene-Stark and Stephanie Gleason. Elva leaves behind her grandchildren whom she loved so much: S'Londa (Husani) Williams of Atlanta GA; Marcus (Jody) Walker of Lilburn, GA; Lewis H. Stark IV of Atlanta GA; Antonio Greene of Las Vegas, NV; April S. Clark of Atlanta, GA; Bryan K. (Kara) Stark of Elmira, NY; Robert T. (Meaghan) Stark of Atlanta, GA; Kellen I. Stark of Atlanta, GA; Derrick D. Stark of Elmira, NY; Emily D. Stark of Elmira, NY, in addition to, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Elva loved her nieces and nephews, while recognizing the following: Pamela Jones; Sandra (Edward) Brown; Laura, Valerie & Walter Dennard; Rick (Chris) Paul; Corey Simpson; Kevin Rollins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
