Obituary of Eileen S. Burdick

BURDICK, Eileen S. Age 59 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born February 24, 1953 in Elmira, daughter of Henry A. and Eleanor (Simbalski) Sherman and passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her father in 2005 and brothers Michael in 2001 and Joseph in 2005. She is survived by her husband Kevin; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Adam Swift and their daughter Alexa all of Chesterfield, VA; mother Eleanor Sherman of Elmira Heights; sister and brother-in-law Roxanne and Robert Brown of Elmira Heights; step sons and daughter-in-law Todd Burdick, Brian and Tammie Burdick and their daughter Harper all of Raleigh, NC along with several nieces and nephews and her family of beloved pets. Eileen was formerly employed with TSA at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport, R Wireworks and the Star Gazette. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, September 25th from 5 to 7 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Wednesday, September 26th at 10:30 am, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Charles Borromeo Church. Rev. Scott Kubinski, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable.
