Obituary of Raymond W. Johns III

Raymond William Johns III of Elmira, New York. Born December 14, 1983, tragically passed away September 3, 2022. Father of Ryder James, Lydia Elyse and Riley William Johns. Predeceased by Mother Tina Marie Hall, nieces, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends whom he loved dearly. Survived by father Raymond William Johns Jr. grandmothers, siblings, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that to him were family. Raymond was very intelligent. He graduated from Southside Highschool and Corning Community College with an Associates Degree. He was a man of many skills and talents including carpentry, art, and music. He was an excellent mechanic. One of his favorite things that brought him so much joy was to sing and play music on his guitar for his children, nieces, nephews, family, friends and their children. He truly could do anything. He loved nature, walking, motorcycles and BMX riding. The beach was where he truly felt calm and at peace. He was the human embodiment of both raging waters and calming seas. Raymond was a follower of God and Jesus Christ reading his Bible daily. He had a passion for life and helping others. Raymond had an infectious sense of humor, he always made everyone laugh and smile. He always wanted everyone to be ok and know that he loved them always. Always saying "Rock~n~Roll and I Love You!" Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 563 Jerusalem Hill Rd. Elmira, New York 14901 Tuesday September 13, 2022 at 11 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at Eldridge Park dance hall following the burial beginning at 1 pm through 5 pm.
